It appears I'm stuck in the mud - the GS has a bad R/R and stator, and the stator is out of stock at Electrosport. So I'll be driving my dumb ol' pickup truck to rockerbox. Hopefully no one will need a lift but if you do, I'm your man...

Did you check with motorcycle performance. Last I checked they had some electrex stuff in stock, which I strongly recommend for the GS.
No Electrex but they did have a Ricks stator. The R/R had to be ordered and might be here by tomorrow, fingers crossed. My internet reading indicates that Electrex often subs Ricks stuff when they are severely backordered in the States. So I'll take that as a vote of confidence.
I think I'm going to see Bob Log III tonight at the high-noon. If your feeling low-brow enough, it should be a hoot....
Did the chodes at batteries plus give you a new battery? Sucks that it's the r&r and stator.
I'm feeling very lowbrow. Looks like there's potential for a hungover workday tomorrow...
I did get a new battery from Bat Plus, but now I feel bad about it because a bad R/R will destroy a battery old or new, right?
It CAN, but it takes some running to destroy it, so don't feel bad. There's probably a 30% chance it was your R/R's fault, and probably some chance that a bad battery destroyed your R/R
