H2 in an H1

My fiance's Dad is a huge car guy. He has more old AMC's then I can count and a very nice 1968 Fairlane amoungst several other different AMC and Ford vehicles he is working on. I posted pictures of the Rambler-Scrambler he hadn't even started on about a year ago. He has it torn down pretty good and has completely rebuilt the frame in the rear and has started working on the quarter panels. Its going to be a runner, definitely not a show car, which I think is great. Anyway, he has had motorcycles like most people that have an addiction to speed do even though he is primarly into cars. He owned this H1 in the mid 1970's. Sold it. The guy he sold it to took the motor out because he was having tranny problems (didn't make sense because you can get to the tranny without pulling the motor), the mobile home the dude lived in burned down with the motor in it leaving a large blob of aluminum to show. Anyway, her Dad ended up tracking down a few H2 motors and got the roller back (motorless obviously). So his plan is to try and fit the 750 into the H1 chasis. The motor mounts match, but he heard there may be an issue with the chain and the swing arm. He may end up having to trade away the motor for a 500. He has an H2 for me as well, I just couldn't haul it back this trip. Here's the foto's...

...Ben came over, we discussed and figured out the problems of the world and how we would do it better, talked about skateboarding and how much better the world looks from standing on one, drank way to much beer, listened to lots of punk rock music, and started phase 1 of the sissy bar which needs to be finished tomorrow....nice looking bend!

Rollins vs the haters

We were talking about this last night. I never understood why people hated on Henry Rollins so much during his time with Black Flag. Of course I was 9 at the time and hadn't yet experienced how petty punk rock scenesters could be. My War was one of the first albums I ever owned and I listened the crap out of it. I wonder how many of the haters would have the guts to say it to his face.
